In relation to Patent No. 8,095,424 and Patent No. 8,112,303, Digonex recently filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Qcue.
"We believe in robust and fair competition and we welcome it, but we cannot allow a competitor to unfairly offer a service that infringes on our intellectual property," said Jan Eglen, CEO of Digonex. "We are focused on preserving the hard work and development our company has put into its dynamic pricing technologies."
While many companies like Digonex want to protect their patents, few tech companies can afford an expensive patent infringement lawsuit, which is why investing in professional liability insurance should be considered by all businesses in this sector. A good professional liability policy will include coverage related to intellectual property.
The patents that Digonex is protecting relate to "dynamic pricing of items based on sales criteria" and "digital online exchange for pricing items to exhaust inventory by an expiration time."
Digonex was also recently featured in a Forbes article that mentioned the company has become a leader in the dynamic pricing world, and the news source expects the company to see even bigger growth in the upcoming years.
